About the Black Forest

The Black Forest is a low mountain range located in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg and invites you to hike and enjoy many other leisure activities.

The Black Forest is both a local recreation area and a place of retreat, as well as being scenically beautiful and diverse.

The most popular excursion and recreational destinations in the Black Forest are the two lakes Titisee and Schluchsee. These offer opportunities for diving and windsurfing.
You can reach these Black Forest lakes by car from the Landhaus Blum and Heu.Loft hotels in about an hour. You drive through the Black Forest capital of Freiburg and past the municipality of Kirchzarten, before admiring the Hirschsprung Monument in the Höllental valley.

In the municipality of Titisee, you can visit and enjoy the bathing paradise with its adventure pool, palm trees, and wellness oases all year round - this means fun in the Black Forest for all ages.

The highest mountain in the Black Forest is the Feldberg at 1,493 m above sea level.
In summer, you'll find the most wonderful hiking tours here, and in winter, you can indulge in the snow. Whether skiing, tobogganing, snowboarding, or snowshoeing, there are specially groomed trails for everything.

And when you're truly exhausted and your bones are frozen, enjoy a wonderful, soothing sauna or a relaxing whirlpool session in your suite at the Hotel Landhaus Blum or Heu.Loft. Culinary specialties and local wines from renowned winemakers await you at the Landhaus Blum restaurant to round off the day.
